I promise the end of Area 15.

I promise this is the end of Area 15, but it was so interesting to go to and so hard to explain what it is. This part, walking through it, The lights were moving - kind of made me dizzy.

What do you think

.

Just more pictures of the colors. We sat down here for a while and just enjoyed.
Another room to go through.
That on the lower left is a little house. All kinds of things inside it. Lights on the wall were moving and changing.
Built into one of the walls. Just interesting I thought.
Read the fourth one down. Funny. I heard one young woman commenting that she wondered what language this was written in.

This was amazing. There were only three heads in a very small area, but all kinds of mirrors.

Video is short.
No idea, just liked it.

This was kind of interactive for the young of mind.
This was pretty, doesn't show up so well in a still picture.

Another short video.
I couldn't go in this room.

Just pictures.

Saw these as we were exiting the area.

So that was our experience in Area 15. Yes I'd go back. I think we missed several of the rooms and didn't pay enough attention to some of the things. SOOOOO much to see. I marvel at the minds that put this all together. I read that at night it is an "adult" experience. NO not for me, but I'd go back at daytime again. Hope you enjoyed.

Living a slow life

Big weather change Winter has arrived. Still good for walking during the day but really is cooling off at night now.  Bill has turned the electric blanket on his side on a couple of times already.

I have finished my Christmas place mats. Turned out okay. They look better than the picture shows.
We are debating about getting all the Christmas stuff out of the shed. Maybe one day next week when he is feeling good. For the last 15 winters I've thought I wanted to decorate at least one more time. But now I'm having second thoughts. Lots of boxes out there. Lots of work for a couple of weeks. We'll see.
Been walking regularly in the Wetlands. We had some heavy winds a few days ago and looks like they did some rearranging of some of the art work over there.  Also some of them are now Titled. This was my favorite.
Its title  - I guess...
This is what it looks like now after the winds. Still kind of pretty.
This one is fine, just finally got a Title.
Kind of makes me go HUMM...
And this one too got a title.
Okay.
Been walking three times a week, get in about three miles each trip. We don't walk fast, more like strolling. But heck we are doing something good for ourselves.
Thank goodness the Formula 1 race is over, but found out they have a ten year contract. Oh my, hope by next year they have a few things figured out about traffic. 315,000 people came into town to watch it. Now they are taking down all the lights, fences and viewing areas. Won't be done till about Christmas. So roads still closed. Took some pictures off the TV.  This shows the track. the part between the buildings is The Strip.
Bright white road is The Strip. Race was at 210 to midnight. I hope no one in hotels was trying to sleep.
One of the corners and the Sphere. I watched about a half hour of it.
The receiver for the Dish TV quit working for good this time. So I took the one we very seldom use in our bedroom and hooked it up to the TV Bill watches the most. Worked okay so far. Then hooked the not working one to the bedroom TV just to see if it worked there. Didn't. Called Dish - got a technician who basically inferred I didn't know how to hook up the box. That only their technicians could do that. (what a jerk) Set me off. Got to talk to a supervisor and they are sending me a new box. Told me to just throw out the old one. She believed I could hook it up with no problems.
Bill's ear has not bothered him since he changed medication. Thank goodness. Well thought we were going to run errands, but long-Covid has struck again, Bill is exhausted again. The antihistamine isn't working any more.

Inside the real INSIDE at Area 15

So back to Area 15 - it is so hard to explain really what it is. Think of psychedelic hallucinations full of color and movement. To get into the amazing room you go through one door of the cold case in the grocery store.  I happened to notice someone open the door and I remembered hearing about what was inside.  Here we go!

Walking through the hallway into the huge two story building at end of hallway.
A lot of my pictures didn't turn out as well as I'd hoped. Some I didn't let the camera focus, some it was just too much movement and/or too dark. So here is one of the first ones that turned out. No explanation for most of them. The building was dark, two floors with hallways around the whole floor. In the hallways there were crawl spaces or doors you could go through to see many different experiences.
Same area looking up.
Don't remember why I took this one. But you can see how dark it was.
This is the floor. The floor is black with a strip of glass with moving lighting under it. Brings you to a halt wondering if you should step on it or not.
More of the glass river leading into a big room with different images showing up on the walls. You can see one on the right.
Going through a door into a room with this floor. I stopped, didn't go in.
Big area with different "things" on it. Colors changing, things moving.
Looking upstairs from ground floor. There were stairs going up, but we found the elevator.

No idea.
Just before I took this picture this wall had aliens all over it. Then they just whooshed away.
More of the glass river on the floor. It kept changing.

Very short video.
Another wall with changing themes. Different images and colors.
Inside one of the doors.
Just an idea of what we saw, more to come next time. Certainly different than the Wetlands.
Changing the subject. The F1 had its first event Thursday night on the Strip. For six months they have been paving and repaving and working on the circuit a big part of which is along Las Vegas Blvd - The Strip. About 15 minutes into the practice, which started at 8:00 at night, one of the Ferraris went over a manhole cover which came up and destroyed the underside of the car. RED FLAG - end of practice. I think a lot of locals watching were kind of Ha Ha about it. It has been a mess here. More practice and qualifying tonight and by "tonight" I mean around midnight. I'm going to record it. Last night I did watch and record the practice. Interesting. And recorded the qualifying Will watch it later.
Worked on my Christmas place mats until I got to frustrated. Thread kept breaking on sewing machine. Also going to go walking in about an hour. Hope it isn't too warm. The temp is in 60's but the sun is hot.
