Bill had his drone up for a while Monday afternoon. This is the fullest the back part of the campground has ever been. We are the little one at the arrow.
One of our friends from Canada, Mark, arrived here in Mazatlan Monday afternoon. Unfortunately he arrived but his suitcases didn't! They did show up this afternoon though. He came over to the RV park and we all went across the street for dinner. A little bit of the sunset, before the sun had set.
This morning we met up again and drove out to El Quelite for breakfast. A perfect day to be there. Not too hot and not busy. The man in the red shirt is the Doctor who owns the restaurant. And guess what?...
He had been doing more work - adding on and repairing and he had some UNGLAZED TERRA COTTA tiles on hand. When Bill asked him about them and told him what we wanted it for he just gave it to us. TA DA my tile in the oven. Tomorrow maybe brownies. There is more space between it and the rack then it looks like.
We sat at a table next to these guys. They kept jabbering and staring at me.
Looking out the restaurant door to the street. This little boy was fascinated by the horses. He finally got to have a ride on one.
And look who came along with us. Yep Red himself.
Looking down into the dry river bed at the mama and baby burro.
Red is up in the air.
Bill and Mark watching the video screen.
Some photos from the drone of El Quelite. They are all several shots stitched together. The yellow house in the left back is the one the painter is up on.
This guy was off in the distance on top of a three story house painting.
That is the El Quelite river bed - the big curve on the right. It is pretty dry now. Lots of new crops coming up.
Part of the town. In the lower left corner is the cover of the main plaza.
Taking a picture of the drone taking pictures.
Down through the now paved wash, used to be dirt.
In front of Daniels restaurant there is an El Quelite sign, new since last time we were here. Bill went inside to make reservations there for Sunday and came back out with a whole banana cream pie.
And then on home.
Hola to Mark. Hope your oven will be perfect now. Let us know.
ReplyDeleteYou should all come out here to the Isla one day. Great place to fly a drone.
