It rained for a couple of hours last night. Not heavy but steady. Not surprised 'cause it was ugly all day yesterday. So that is why some of the pictures are kind of dark. Just to get out of the RV we jumped in Willie and headed across town. Were stopped for traffic and I took a good look at this building. I just thought it was blue. But see the waves and dolphins on it. Will try to get a decent picture of it one of these days.
There is a building right next to it that has a new mural on it. But need to be out of the car to get a picture of it. They just finished painting it a week or so ago.Lots of work being done on and around Valentino's. So glad would have hated to see the building just crumble away.
Early in the morning again, not too many people out and about. Not a good picture taking day. One of the rainbow crosswalks in town.
The sun was trying to come out, never made it all day.
Rain drops on the windshield. Just enough to make a mess.
The other rainbow crosswalk in Olas Altas.
More rain drops. A lot of work going on in Centro on various buildings and homes. Working on the doors - they are very pretty.
A home owner outside watering her tree. Last year she had a bunch of poinsettias outside she would water. The tree is in a spiral shape.
City street cleaner. They do an excellent job.
Why did we drive all the way across town. Well to eat breakfast at La Antigua again. Refer to previous posts for pictures of crepes and restaurant. Some info about the restaurant and how it came about.
Another older home being worked on. Will have to remember to check on it when we go by again.
Interesting building and weird statue.
Main plaza downtown Centro. Starting to put the Christmas decorations up.
Looks like all the restaurants above the Central Market are open and busy. Good for them.
Heading back through the Golden Zone. A lot of the older buildings are being torn down. Wonder if they had hurricane damage or if they were just too old to be saved. Lots of newer buildings in the area. Changes the flavor of the city.
Another one being torn down.
And another one. Many more that I didn't take pictures of.
We continued out toward Cerritos. Wanted to check out the area across the water from the Rui. We go there a lot to watch the sunsets and talk to the vendors leaving the beach. The other day the water filled the whole lagoon like area. Yesterday very little water in it. And looks like the hurricane did more damage to the concrete walkway.
And then on home. Stayed in the rest of the day. No rain the rest of the day. Weather forecast says rain this afternoon and tomorrow morning.

We don't mind a couple of cloudy days as it's still nice and warm..your pictures are good no matter the weather!
ReplyDeleteKathy - thanks, kind of enjoyed the gloom and the cooler air. A belated Happy Birthday to Eric.
