More from the Wetlands

Today the winds have finally quit blowing for a few days. Starting in again on Friday. Had a nice walk this morning. Just walked around the community so no pictures. It was about 50 degrees when we started, but the sun was warm and no wind. Did about 3 and a quarter miles. Believe me if it weren't for the walking group I probably wouldn't have got out this morning.

Here are some more pictures from the other day in the Wetlands. I took this just because of all the different colors of green in it.

One of the bigger ponds. Lots of things swimming around in it.
Several of these guys.
A huge koi fish, he must be over 18 inches long. Couldn't get a decent picture as water is murky and the ripples from the wind. He is orange, white and black, with a few spots of gold. Also some other fish the same size, I think they are carp, kind of muddy gray.
Nice and peaceful area across the bridge from the pond.
Lots of turtles out and about. He was swimming right towards us.
Took the picture in the header there too. Sunning themselves on the rock.
The handyman came yesterday to replace the fluorescent lights that went out in the kitchen. Turns out it was the ballast that was bad so replaced it in both lights. Also put in daylight lights and new clear acrylic covers on them. Oh my goodness, the kitchen is very bright now. Why didn't we do it ourselves? Because paying him is cheaper than a fall off of a ladder. Those are high ceilings.
Also been working on my window. I have all the border glass cut and put in. Also tack soldered several of the pieces so they don't shift around while doing more work on it.

That's about it again.  Wow just hit 10,000 for today.

  2. Doug and Nancy - If I didn't have the group to go with, there would be fewer walks. Though Bill is saying he will go walking when the wind quits blowing. We miss you too. Hope one of these days we catch up again.

  3. We put in daylights recently too and what a difference they made to what I thought of a dark kitchen.
