Rude awakening very early this morning. Earthquake in Gulf of California just north of us off of Bahia de Kino. At first I thought Bill was shaking the bed. Then realized everything was shaking. He said earthquake! Yep sure was.
So here we are hooked up and ready to leave San Carlos, About ten o'clock.
But then we stopped to fill the tank at GasStop Finally left there at 10:20.Still construction at the 15 and 15D merge.
And it continued on to the 15D turned out they were repairing the bridge that was damaged during a couple of hurricanes ago.
After that smooth sailing on good roads. Until...Estancion Ortez arpimd KM 58. They have 3 big topes.
And then there was Vicam. No one blocking the road this year but the topes are still there and the town still has its old pot holed asphalt
Even the topes have big pot holes. So go really slow and keep a watchful eye out for the holes.
The ramp is right at this sign.
To the right and up the curving hill.
More construction to replace part of a bridge damaged by same hurricane. The traffic is one lane only.
The other lane waiting for us to pass. The toll this year was 534 Pesos for the motorhome and car! Up 20 pesos from spring.
Pay attention when getting off the bypass back on to the 15D - it can be confusing . Make sure you stay to the right of the double yellow lines BUT don't go way right or you'll be heading to Obregon.
There are some topes after Navajoa but before the toll booth that kind of sneak up on you. And they are BIG topes. There was a Pemex station on the right.
Almost to the state line.
Back to the south bound lanes.
Passed this check point with no problems. Just waved through.
Into Sinaloa. Roads were good and bad. Mostly okay. We passed through two more check points. The Federal guys with the beige pants and black shirts. Just waved us through. Though they had a couple of loaded pickups and cars and a bus and a truck pulled over. Going through them.

After that the road is good again. Here we are approaching the Obregon Bypass. And no one blocking the lanes here either.
The bypass on ramp is to the right. Lots of signage. The ramp is right at this sign.

Coming to the Sonora/Sinaloa state line. Where the pavement used to end and there was a dirt road for about 1/2 mile there is now construction. They are paving the dirt, so all traffic goes on the north bound lanes. (Though a couple of cars in front of us went through the cones on to the old dirt road.) It is NOT well marked. Stay to the left of the cones.
See the car on the dirt part? Almost to the state line.

Then on through Los Mochis to the Smart Gas station for the night. Got there at 3:20 five hours - 239 miles. US$68 in tolls. Parked right up front next to the fence. Got set up then went to the Elba restaurant for dinner. YUM, Tomorrow Mazatlan.
Surprised I have Internet here so not proofreading, just posting I hope.
