Finally got all my plants planted. Now just hope they all live. And that I remember to take care of them. The ones on the exterior wall of the house.
Have them sitting on the edge of the patio, hopefully they will get enough sun there. When Bill got up Sunday morning he felt good enough to make spaghetti sauce - a lot of it. I opened all the cans and chopped some of the items needing chopping. With his advice of course.
Two big pans of it. the pan on the right was my mother's pan. Got to be eighty years old. The other on towards the back, is one of the few pans I have left from my waterless cookware set. It is at least 64 years old.
When it cooled down separated it into serving sizes and froze it.
By then we were both ready to sit down.
Sometime this week I have to get both cars smogged so can register them. Might do one today.
I am still coughing but not really bad. Just enough to be annoying.
Today, Monday, was a really good day for Bill. He was up and about for most of the day. Even had the swagger back in his walk. By about 6 p.m. though his get up and go got up and went. Bed by 7 o'clock. Hope he didn't over do it today. We'll see what tomorrow brings. It was my day to be more tired than usual. Didn't accomplish anything I planned on doing. Oh well, some days are just like that.
Glad that Bill was able to have a good day!! I love it when I get to use something that is old and enjoy it even more if it was passed down to me. I have some pans and skillets that are were given to us by Larry's mother that are more than 60 years old. Your flowers look wonderful.
ReplyDeleteHappy to see and hear that Bill is having some good days. Please tell him that the Chicken Milanese and the Spaghetti Sauce look so tasty. Love the photos you post especially of the Wet Lands and Carol, take care of you as well as Bill.
ReplyDeletePS I am still using the pots and pans I bought before we were married and still have all but a couple pieces - we celebrate 58 years in August.
Glad you are getting better, slowly but surely.
ReplyDeleteWe got our "spring" boosters today.
Ruth - the old pans are so much better than what you buy now. I just hope our flowers live through the summer.
ReplyDeleteSandy - The last couple of days he has been tired again. A good day then a couple of down days. Hopefully soon there will be more good days. Our 58 anniversary will be Jan 1.
Jackie - I see the boosters are available here too - but not sure about getting them, especially Bill. Now we supposedly have natural immunity too.
