Been a kind of busy few weeks. We had to have out entire Dish TV system redone. The "thing" on the satellite dish needed to be replaced, a couple of the cables were cracking - love the Las Vegas heat. Had to get all new receivers as ours were out of date! We had a lot of recorded movies and series which could not be just transferred to the new receiver. So technician told me to get an external hard drive and transfer all of them to it. He was coming back in four days to install all the new stuff. He told me to start transferring right away. He wasn't kidding took me until midnight the day before he came back to get everything transferred to the external drive. And I also transferred moist everything back to the new receiver as we had everything in folders - westerns, john wayne, comedy etc - so it makes it easier for Bill to find what he wants to watch. All done as of yesterday. So now we shouldn't have any problems for a few years with the equipment for a few years. Also I got my bill reduced by 40 dollars for the next two years. Only cost me 34 dollars for an HD cable. Well and the external hard drive. But will be using that in the future.
Finally got back to walking this week. Got in three miles yesterday. Weather has been cold and windy and one of the ladies I walk with is getting Chemo every 5 weeks. She is 82! and gets cold easy. Today is going to be up in the 70's!!!. We saw some Cormorants this time. Haven't seen them before. The pelicans are gone. And never saw any Canadian Gees this year. Just a pleasant scene. One of the reasons I like to walk out there.
On Wednesday Bill goes to have the surgery on his eyelid. We both, him the most, will be so glad when that is done and he can see again. It really gets to him some days.

So that is it for now. Need to make a grocery delivery. Guess I'd better stock up on eggs and chicken while I can still afford them.
I love those place mats! And always wanted to do stained glass. You are obviously very talented in that department!!
ReplyDeleteSounds like you have lots on the go. So glad Bill is feeling better. Doug had that eyelid surgery a number of years ago too. Hugs from us.
ReplyDeleteWell that's great! Way more good things and better health which is good for the mind as well as the body. I love your positive attitude and ability to roll with things!
ReplyDeleteNancy - Thanks, gives me something to do. I like doing stained glass, but it is like every thing else, what do you do with it when it is finished. Take some lessons it is fun to do, but addictive. And expensive now.
ReplyDeleteDoug and Nancy - The eyelid is better, but still needs to improve, hope it does.
Kathy - I getting good with going with the flow.
