Our hotel and a few other pictures from out and about.

Well you asked for it so this will share our hotel with you. But before that. Coming back from Centro the other day it was dusk by the time we got through the Malecon. Here is Valentino's and it isn't lite up at all except for the signs for the bars. Wish they would light up the whole building again.

Yesterday after Bill felt better we had lunch, chicken soup for him and a hamburger for me, at Pancho's then grabbed a pulmonia to go to WalMart. I'm going to be interested to see how much we spend on transportation while we are here. We both miss the Jeep. Anyway was surprised to see the bakery section of the store. Everything inside cases now. Very sophisticated.  Got some croissants with nuts on them and a couple of chocolate ones. Also a few more household items, kleenex, zip lock baggies and some patches for Bill's sore back.  Got a taxi to come home. Cha Ching!
So...the hotel. It is called Blue Pacific Suites 850 Pesos a night. (at today's exchange rate $50 a night.) Except during Carnaval when price goes up. On the front downstairs is a realty office and a pharmacy.
We are on the second floor middle room. Right above the scrunched up banner.

The lobby upstairs in front of our room. We are on the far left.
Looking down to ground floor common area. We do have good WiFi.
So here is the room. About 14' x 11 1/2' Also has a bathroom with shower, sink and potty. That is the entrance door. Small kitchenet with sink, two burner stove, haven't tried it to see if it works Cupboards with bare minimum of dishes and a pan. Also two sets of silverware. and a toaster.  We bought the coffee pot and the small microwave. There is a refrigerator with tiny freezer. works good. TV set with a cable box - Bill's hat is hanging on the cable box in this picture. Bathroom door on far right. I have my laptop set up on the small round table with two chairs.
Full size bed - we are used to a California King at home and Queen in RV...There is air conditioning on the wall next to the bed. Haven't had to use it.
With back to balcony door looking at enter door, closet with shelving on left
Door leading to balcony with heavy drapes. Two chairs and table on balcony.
View from balcony. Enjoy sitting out there watching what is going on.
Just another look at this wall.
A lot of reading material is provided. On the door "Please turn of the AC when leaving the room." On the wall "Washing dishes is not the responsibility of the cleaning lady."  There is also one that says to tip the cleaning lady. Problem there doesn't seem to be a cleaning lady.
On the left " You will be charged if you leave dirty dishes" on the right " It is prohibited to cook or fry shrimp or fish. Thank you for your understanding."
On the wall next to the bed "Please do not put hands or feet on the wall."  Hummmm,,,,,,
Left overs from Covid I guess.
On the bathroom "Check out time 11 a.m."  and " The bathroom is not a laundry. Do not wash clothes in the sink. Thank you for your understanding."
"Help us keep the towels white, use them properly." as near as it can be translated.
Went to Plazuela Machado last night to listen to music, visit with friends and eat. A wonderful evening, weather was perfect and warm. After a few drips of rain for about three minutes. Today we have to go to Centro for a while.

  1. Looks very comfy. Nice patio and outdoor space. How's the noise level outside?

  2. Doug and Nancy - actually it probably has more square feet than the RV. But is not as comfortable. Spoiled I guess, also miss Jeep terribly!!
