Too many pictures not enough blogs.

Yesterday I lost track of my mind and posted two blogs from El Quelite, one of them was for me to post today. Oh well... So instead had to do this one for today.

As many of you know, I love to take pictures. Understatement of the year. Hope you don't mind me sharing them with you. So here goes some pictures of random things we've seen and random places we've been.  Look closely and you will see a man with a LONG pole cutting down coconuts from the tree.

The coconut landed in the street, so he ran out to get it. He sells them.

Scenes from our balcony. Worker for the big expensive hotel across the street sweeping the sidewalk in the morning. 

It is blurry but he is painting the bottoms of the trees white to protect them from bugs. 

Watering the plants in front of the hotel, he has a really long hose. 

In front of our hotel, night man is sweeping the sidewalk and parking area. 

There is a pharmacy right next to the hotel - biggest selling item is Viagra. Was a couple of days before I really looked at the sign...

I mentioned Bill bought coffee cups in El Quelite. The ones on the left are the hotel provided ones. NO, I don't think so. Had to refill them many times to get morning jolt.

This is a normal scene. The wires from the TV and cable box. 

And it is not just inside. 

Many many modes of transportation in Mazatlan. The truck, carries a lot of people and has loud music system. 

A pulmonia, named that because pulmonia means pneumonia. This is the favorite tourist transportation and the most expensive. But lots of fun. Notice no doors, have to hang on tight. 

This is a Safari, a more comfortable ride, less wind in the face and it has doors.  This is like the one we rode in to go to El Quelite. 

And  there are busses every few minutes. 13 Pesos for air conditioned, 12 no AC  One US dollar is 17 pesos. So it is really cheap transportation. 

This is a small tour bus, usually from hotels and tour company.

Of course the is always the personal pick up. 

Yesterday we took a pulmonia to go to Centro. Driving along the Malecon. Nice walking area along the ocean. Has a big bike trail the blue part along bottom of photo. Lots of vendors selling all kinds of things day and evening.

Big plaza in front of the Cathedral. The children love to feed the pigeons until they all take off and fly around them. 

Our first stop was the optometrist - Bill wants to talk to him and I needed a pair of my glasses repaired. We've been going to him for years. 

Walking around - the couple years old parking garage looks great with it flowers in every window. 

A neat old buggy in front of it. 

This is one of my most favorite buildings in Mazatlan. Last year it was blue and tan. Before  that it was yellow and white. Been repainted many times by the government. One time about three weeks after its paint job it was hit by lightening. Any way. There is now lots of news about this building. It has been repainted again and is now in private hands who are restoring it, bit by bit. Will do whole blog on it another day. So exciting. 

Wow - when we left here a year ago this was a parking lot, now a restaurant. It originally many, many years ago, when it had a roof and was a real building, it was a restaurant. 

Looks neat, open air. 

One of the decorations on the entrance wall. Mostly seafood, but some meat and chicken. So will give it a try. 

Going to stop now as this is getting too long. As busy as we are keeping maybe I'll have to post twice a day morning and night just to keep up.
