Didn't realize it has been so long since I last posted. A lot going on around here. It has taken me a while to go through the pictures of the process of repainting and adding to the mural on the Jeep. Some of the colors had faded since it was originally painted in 2016. Also Bill thought that it looked unfinished so he wanted the flames extended on the front doors. So here are some pictures of the process.
8:30 Sunday morning. First all the dew had to be wiped off and the car dried completely. Then the taping off of all the parts not to be painted. Then the entire part of the car that was going to be painted had to be fine sanded so the paint will adhere.
Lots of paper, plastic and tape went on.
The painter Gilberto brings his paint and air brush with him in his back pack.
Getting ready to paint. Black will be the first color.Kind of a guide for the new flames.
Touching up some of the faded black on the hood.
These skulls have been retouched with black.Working on the eagles eye.
Working on his claws.
One of the skulls on the hood. The eagles tail needed some work.
Still using the black paint
Going to continue working on the skulls with the black paint. Also in this picture you can see that the red on the right side of the hood is almost all faded away.
A big difference. Didn't realize it had faded so much.
It is amazing to watch him work. He makes it looks so easy. Did more work on the claws.
Adding skulls to the doors...
HUMMM...
The next color to go on was yellow.
Touching up or adding yellow to eagle.
The claws before adding yellow
After touching them up.
Orange the next color to be added.
Will stop here for today. More to come...
