Our weather is being crazy, tomorrow it will be close to 90 by the weekend in the low 70's. I much prefer the 70. The hotter it is the earlier we have to walk. Have managed to get in a few 3 mile walks. And a couple two and a half. We have seen lots of bunnies lately, mostly smaller ones.
We walked over to see if there were any new art pieces in the outside exhibit and much to our dismay two of the art pieces had been vandalized. Why would some do that? Then we continued down a trail we very seldom walk and saw this. It is only about a foot square but there is a lot of work in it. No idea why or what it means to someone. Hope people leave it alone.
Some of the area burned in the big fire last year is still not doing well. The light colored cones have trees baby trees in them, but most of them look like they have died. A new log fence has been built in the area, looks great and keeps people off the ground that is trying to come back. All the trees in this area are burned and dead.
You can see where the fire jumped the river and burned the trees there too. The land and mountains in the background are where Henderson is. It is growing way up the mountains already.
Even with all the really hot weather there is still some snow on the mountains. I head this morning on local news that these mountains only got 2% of their average snow pack this winter. Not good.
This is register all the vehicles month. Thought I'd get ahead of things and took the Jeep over to be smogged and registered. It passed and all was well. EXCEPT the registration got lost in the mail. So have to go to AAA to get a replacement. Then tried to start my car, the mustang, and nope wouldn't start. Called son over to take battery out, too heavy for either of us to do it. Sometimes being old gives us a not to nice surprise. So son came over and took it out and put it in the Jeep, we went to Walmart got a new one, son came back over and put it in. It tries to start but won't completely do it. It is getting gas and it's not the starter. Son says he will be back and try a few things and it should start. So waiting. Also have to register the RV so need him to drive it to the smog place. Maybe I'll be forced to get the courage to do it. Hope it passes, it's just been sitting for months too. Oh well might need to be driven around to get it to pass. Hope not.
And got estimate to get roof fixed $3500. Need to call contractor and set it up. Also had to have the drain pipe in my shower repaired. If it isn't one thing it is another.
I'm still working on the quilt. Finally finished the face of it. Now need to figure out what material to use for the border and binding and backing. It turned out to be a little more challenging to put together then I thought it would be. Managed to sew one whole row on upside down. Not fun picking it out.
I was reading some things written by teen ages and got to wondering about their writing. Wow i just discovered that grammar is not taught in schools any more. Also no Civics or cursive writing. What do they teach now?
The Sphere - this is stranger than the human eyeball one.
Home from the dermatologist and all cancer cells in basal cell mole are gone. Going to have a scar about the size of a dime. She says it will take about two months to heal. Bill goes to the cardiologist today, for the first since his trips to hospitals. When they told him he had AFib. So should be an interesting visit.
