We are still in Amado, just a little bump in the road. Today we will head for Gila Bend Sonora Desert RV Park. They were very nice about changing our reservation from yesterday to today. Sunday afternoon Bill came down with what we thought (hoped) was a stinker of a cold. Sneezing, eyes and nose running non stop. Monday morning he was still feeling icky. Sure did not feel like driving. Luckily we could stay one more day here at DeAnza even though they had someone coming into our site. Lovely lady in office managed to re arrange their site so we didn't have to move. Buy later afternoon he was feeling much better so today we will get 150 miles closer to home. We won't leave here until close to check out time of 11:00 because it is still really cold out and he will wait until the last moment to hook up the car. Hopefully it will at least be up into the high 60's by then. Just looked at the phone, says it is only 30 out and it is seven o'clock. No wonder it is so cool in here even with the furnace running full time now and all night. The weather is finally changing for the better. No winds and temperature is slowly raising. Too slowly.
My nose is running and I'm sneezing too - but only affects me when the furnace is running. So wondering if the unit on the roof has some mold or pollen or dust in it. He gets worse when it is running too.
Yesterday afternoon we made a short trip to the market to get enough stuff to get us home and for a few days at home. And last night I fixed a delicious salmon, baked potato and asparagus dinner. Warmed it up in here and tasted really good.
Will have to stop for gasoline two more times on the way home. Dreading that. The only thing good about it is we will only need about half a tank of gas each time. At least the Jeep is full, but think we left my car at home almost on empty.
So that is it for now. Will try to post from Gila Bend either this afternoon or first thing tomorrow morning.
