Memories of old

Just some this and that from around here. Our cactus in the front is blooming again this year. But so far only two flowers.

View from my kitchen window. Our patio and back yard. My "summer" stained glass sun catchers.
Two more sun catchers and the jasmine bush. The whole house smells good from it.
The palo verde tree is starting to bloom too.
Front yard decorations, this cactus has never bloomed.
I keep stacking these rocks and the high winds blow them down.
Many, many, many years ago 1997 to be exact Bic put out a commemorative lighter. On it was our second oldest son and his beautiful car.
Came across it in a drawer, forgot we had it.
That same year this book was put out. One of the authors was Kent Bash, a good friend of our son Randy. Of course I bought the book!
Bash painted this picture, a beautiful oil painting. This is the picture that is on the Bic lighter. And it is in the book.
Another picture of Randy in the book. He is still restoring old cars and loves his work.
I have been out walking three mornings this week. Three miles one day, two and a quarter another and this morning 2.70 miles. The short mileage day I was walking in our community. The other two days in the Wetlands, so expect more nature pictures in a day or two.
Yesterday we had to go CLEAR ACROSS TOWN for Bill to get some breathing tests. Won't find out how they turned out until doctors appointment middle of June. His days continue to be uncertain. Any where from great to barely gets out of bed.  This morning, a good day, he discovered he could see the IPad well enough to fly a drone. He is looking forward to his next eye shot. ... I am waiting for our son's cleaning ladies to come by this afternoon. He said Happy Mother's Day. Works for me.

Very interesting to see your son's special talent and the history that goes with it. It would seem Bill has long covid but I'll bet that as his vision improves he will too.

Kathy - yep Bill is one of the unlucky ones to get long covid. He has more good days, when he can be up and around most of the days. But still has bad days, when he has trouble moving around. The eye is a lot better than a month ago, hope it keeps improving.
