Glad we are home, but weather has been bad. High, high winds - gusts up over 55mph. And down into 30's at night. Rugs on patio got blown all over and one of my plants got knocked over. Everything outside the house is rattling. Neighbors trash can is half way down the block. Another day or two like that then by weekend in the HIGH 80's! Then back down into mid 60's with more wind.
I am taking advantage of Walmart deliveries. Getting one almost every other day. Don't feel like going to the store. Even with the deliveries, I remember something I need right after getting one. When we got home we had a garage door opener in the RV, pushed on the button and nothing happened. Crap! did that mean the door malfunctioned again or that the opener wasn't working. So had to dig around for our front door keys - thank goodness I remembered where I put them. Got in the house okay and pushed the garage button in the garage and door opened. Phew - relief. Opener just needed a new battery and luckily Bill had a bunch of them in his desk. One crisis over.
We both still get tired easily, him more so than me. But last night I went to bed at 8:30 - could not keep my eyes open. Woke up ready to get up and looked at clock. 12:48 - Turned over and went back to sleep - up at 5:30.
Yesterday was Bill's eye doctor appointment. Of course, I had to drive. The wind was pushing and pulling the car - Dirt, dust and palm fronds blowing all over. At least I had checked on Google maps to lay out my route and figure out where the office was. I guess I'd better get used to driving again. News is not too encouraging. His retina has bleeding in it. Doctor kind of thinks it is from his forceful sneezing and coughing during Covid. So the end of the month he has to see Retina doctor. Something might be able to be done. Will know more then. He can see to get around and make out what is going on on the big TV. But of course cannot drive. Can't make out the words on his ebook or computer. The letters and lines look wavy to him. Exhausts him to try to figure out what he is seeing. Making the letters bigger doesn't help.
On Friday son will pick up the RV and take it to the dealer so we can figure out how much damage was done by the bucket. We know the waste connection is cracked (the temp fix in San Carlos didn't hold) and think the fresh water tank is cracked too. Ugh. Going to see if the insurance will cover any of it.

Oh not great news about his eye but the future is promising. I can't believe you drove in that yesterday. As you know we are here in Vegas and are freezing. Its warmer back in Canada.

Most retinal problems require immediate attention. (Learned this from my mother's experiences.) Could the regular eye doctor guarantee that there was no retinal detachment?
You might want to do some internet research on retinal bleeding and see if you can find a retinal specialist who can see you on an emergency basis. Don't want to scare you, but if it were me, I would be banging on the door of a specialist!

Some wild weather going on in your town. Glad you two are safely home. I really have to agree with Judy - best to get the eye problem looked at again as any bleeding in the eye is a worry. Hope the macular is healthy, too.

The weather has been wild everywhere this year. I don't mind rain, but the winds are a pain. I hope an eye doctor can offer some relief and you both will feel better soon.
I agree with Judy and others. Don't wait! My dad has similar issues! And, I'm glad you're home finally.

Kind of a general answer. Thank every one for your concerns. I both test negative for covid now. I am pretty much completely over it, but still get tired enough to fall asleep if I sit down to read LOL. Bill feels fatigued. The last couple of days he has been up and doing things then napping less then before. He has an appointment with the Retinal specialist next Thursday (managed to get it changed from end of month) Very hard to get into see them here. The weather has finally calmed down. Today is going to be warm up into 70's. Its been in 40 and 50s since we got home. No wind. And by weekend it will be 90! Will try to post blog today.
