Finally something to write about.

And the "something" is the weather has finally cooled down. In fact it was cool enough at 7 o'clock this morning to take a short walk in the Wetlands.

The air conditioning in the Jeep quit working again - just had it fixed about a month ago. It's been too hot to even go out at 7 in the morning. So really glad the temperatures have dropped some. But did need to go to grocery store on Friday. Got in the car started up the street and the AC came on and worked perfectly. All the way to store and back. Go figure. So will drive it a few more times to see if we need to take it back to mechanic. But now I don't trust it. Wait and see I guess.
A picture of the super moon a few nights ago.
Another picture just as it was coming up. The other white dots in the sky are air planes coming into land in Vegas. Five of them in this picture. Busy airport.
So enjoying the drop in temperatures even got out to walk  - a short walk - this morning in the Wetlands. Saw three bunnies, a road runner and a covey of quail. Felt so good to be out. Walked 1.5 miles is all. No more fish in this pond. Wonder what happened to all of them.

And this is the only turtle we saw. Used to see a lot of them.
Another one of the small ponds. This one has beavers in it. Only saw one of them once a few years ago. Have to be out really early to see them.
We are doing fine. Hopefully we'll be able to get out and about some more with the cooler temps and if the AC keeps working.

Hi Carol and Bill, too. Just wanted to say the photos are great in this blog; especially of the moon.

You have to make some plans to get out of LV next summer for at least part of the time. How about heading north at least in Nevada. I can see by the map there are some areas in the north of the state that are cooler. This year was horrible for heat, and that is not healthy for you. Made my reservations for Valley of Fire and Willow Beach for January & February.
