Ride to Centro along Malecon

It is nice to be in sunny and more or less warm Mazatlan.

A few weeks before Carnival starts, giant multi-coloured carnival figurines (called 'Monigotes', i.e. puppets) appear on the Malecon
The theme for the 2024 Carnival in Mazatlán, Sinaloa, Mexico is: Baroque Eclipse (???)
Today we took a ride along the Malecon in a pulmonia, the driver went slow so I could take pictures of the Monigotes. Unfortunately the sun was not cooperating, so some of the photos are not as clear and colorful as they should be. This one is at the beginning of the Malecon by Valentino's Called Guardian of the Night.

The next one.
The dear statue is new since we left here last March. The deer is the symbol of Mazatlan.
Another one, color is way off.
Same one a little better. No name.
Side view.
Front. The Sun King
I will try to get a better picture of this one. Really interesting.

Queen of the Night.
The sky line keeps adding more and more high rises.
Almost missed this one. Can't find a translation for this.
Going to stop here, we went out to breakfast in centro.
