Same things different days.

 I hope everyone had a nice Thanksgiving. We went out on Wednesday and I had Denny's turkey dinner. Really enjoyed it. 

Getting into the holiday spirit here are a few more pictures of The Sphere. This is one of my favorites. Of course there is movement He looks down at the sweater and makes a face before he smiles. Very cute.

We got the humidifiers and they seem to be working. Bill only had one very short nose bleed since we've had them. Thank goodness. Have one in bedroom and one in kitchen. Need to figure out where to put that one as I don't want it in kitchen. 

Been walking every other day. Got in a couple of 3 mile days. Sure is nice with the weather cooler. getting some color in the foliage. 

That is a bag of trash the duck is standing on. Lots of trash shows up in the rivers. But they do a pretty good job of cleaning it up. 

Weird growth on this tree. 

A closer look at it. A growth of the tree or a nest of some kind.  Kind of reminds me of termite nests I've seen. 

More bird pictures. Usually they aren't this close together. We haven't seen and bunnies for several walks. Maybe we are walking too late in the day and they are hiding. Saw a coyote in the distance one walk. But it was moving too fast to get a picture.

I mentioned in my last post that the heart doctor had put Bill on a new medication. Well...it does not agree with him. After taking it for about eight days it laid him low. Made him so dizzy and weak he couldn't get around. Tried getting ahold of doctor. Could not even get through to the office. Push buttons and no one answers, just told to push more buttons. Gave up, he quit taking the medication and is starting to feel a whole lot better. We go to the doctor's office on Monday so will try to get some  guidance on what he should do. He doesn't see the doctor until end of January. 

Some soothing pictures and days

 Trying to write a little more often. We have been having one beautiful sunrise after another the last week or so. I looked out this morning and there was an okay one, not worth going out in the 39 degree weather to take a picture. 

Yep our weather has taken a big change. Going down to near freezing at night. So cool in the morning we now go out at 9:00 to walk when it gets into the low fifties. I still wear shorts and a t-shirt and a light jacket, which I take off about 20 minutes into the walk. Yesterday we walked 3 miles. Of course with a lot of stopping and looking at things. My friends I walk with.  Guess I'm the only hot broad among us. 

We stopped at the Nature Center Museum and there was a new art display  Some really neat items there. This one I took a picture of because every thing on it was hand embroidered. Lots and lots of work on it. 

Back outside, just like the look of the water and trees. So nice to be outside in nature. 

On Tuesday afternoon we had another semi emergency with Bill. Ended up at an Urgent Care near us. He had a nose bleed that just didn't want to stop. Got good care there, but they were talking emergency room before it finally stopped bleeding. So came home with ointment, q tips, nose plugs and instructions. One of which was get a humidifier for the house, Two will arrive today. We keep it pretty warm in here and the weather is naturally dry. Also he takes aspirin. So far so good, hope that is over with.

A break from nature. Sorry about all the pictures of the Sphere, but it just fascinates me. I take these all from on line posts. I love this one. Scary looking chicken. 

Perplexed green owl? Said on the news it has lost about a half a million dollars since being built/ open. Saw today on the news they are now running advertisements on it. Ugh. 

It is Formula 1 time again, so traffic on the Strip is all screwed up. The roads making up the track are open for a while, then closed for a while. Will be that way until Sunday night I guess. Glad I don't have to go anywhere near there. 

So back to nature. A couple of turtles taking a sun bath. They were hard to see.

Little bitty fish swimming near the plants. They are about 3 inches long. 

I'm still sewing trying to use up material. Made a smaller 15 x 15 pillow cover. Kind of cute. 

And am working on the third Christmas 18 x 18 pillow cover. This is a work in progress, not sure how to set it up yet. Playing around with different ideas.

Just something we saw out in the middle of nowhere while we walked towards a different area. A big empty pipe or well now full of trash and graffiti.

We went to see Bill's cardiologist early Monday morning. He isn't too concerned about the hospital reports. He feels the slow heart beat is due to one of Bill's medications so the doc  changed the does to half of what he was taking. Then added a new blood pressure pill that is supposed to strengthen the heart. He also suggested Bill only take the water pill if he experiences swelling in this legs or hands. He also set up appointments for a heart monitor and another echocardiogram. Then of course another visit. I managed to drive there (23 miles each way) without problems or getting lost. Then that afternoon we had an eye shot appointment. We took UBER for that as it was late in afternoon, in Henderson and would be dark when we got out. Still waiting to see doctor for eyelid, Dec 10th for that one. He is starting to get crabby about doctor appointments. Can't say as I blame him. So far he has been feeling pretty good, except closed eye is driving him nuts. 

I started a new diamond painting of three crazy looking girl chickens standing in a field of flowers. Should be fun.

Lots going on around here.

 I guess it is time I got to this. Seems like one thing or another keeps getting in the way of sitting down and doing it. This is just one of the marvelous sunrises we've had recently. Each one better than the last. Also some great sunsets. 

One of life's little gotchas. Our beautiful very tall pine trees have to come down. Luckily they belong to the company that owns the land where we live. A lot of them in the area just couldn't handle the summer heat and they are quickly dying. Seems like one day they were green and the next all brown. One is completely dead the other one half dead but whole tree will have to come down. I'll miss them, but not their needles all over the yard.

I love the pictures I see of the Sphere - they are so neat and interesting. I have never even seen the Sphere since it was finished. On my bucket list.  We stay away from The Strip.

Have finally got back in the habit of walking in The Wetlands. We go three times a week - need the rest in between after not walking at all all summer. Saw this one day. He is standing on the bridge rail. The river beneath is very fast moving. Idiot.

Every one calls him Old Harry because of the gray feathers below his neck.

So any way, I'll give a short synopsis of the days since October 29.  For several days before the 29th Bill had not been feeling well. Spent a lot of time in bed. When he was up I noticed he was kind of panting to catch his breath. When I asked him he said he was okay. Like a dummy I thought it was just a bad long covid attack. Well on the 29th he got up and more or less fell back on the bed. I was in the bed room to see that. He said he was dizzy and couldn't catch his breath. But everything was fine. Leave him alone. Luckily I didn't  I called the ambulance. When they got here he tried to walk to living room, but could not keep his balance. They got him in chair and did all their checking stuff. All the time he was complaining about them coming. He doesn't remember any of this. They took him. He was there for two more days. Seems he had been retaining fluid so much that it was affecting his breathing. Also docs didn't like the EKG. They gave him stuff to get rid of the fluid and he got much better. But they kept him to run more tests. Echocardiograms, CAT scan of his head and neck. And pulmonary angi something. On the third day he was his normal " WANT OUT OF HERE" self. Paper work he was sent home with said unknown cause. But see primary and heart doctors. Luckily we already had appointment with primary care yesterday. Primary doc said paperwork showed heart was not pumping as hard as it should, but not to the OMG stage of heart failure. Trying to get into heart doctor took many many phone calls (they are out sourcing their schedulers so when I called they put me on list to call back... When they did call back the call got dropped and I couldn't understand the person any way. Two more times of that. Finally the next day I got through to someone with English as first language and she made the appointment. Appointment is next Monday at office WAY across town, 22 miles at 8:20 in morning. Debating taking an Uber with all the morning traffic here. He is feeling fine now except the water pills have him in the bathroom every hour and a half day and night. Primary said quit taking them for the days 5 days until he sees the heart doctor and try to catch up on sleep. So that is one thing. 

A week ago he woke up in the morning and eyelid on his one good eye won't stay open. So more phone calls to go to make opthamologist. Got in last week, but droop is so bad and eyelid skin so fragile he was afraid to do surgery, so sending Bill to another specialist. Can't get in to see him till Dec 10th. In mean time Bill is getting dizzy from double vision with the little slit of eye he can see out of. Doc did tell him to tape the eyelid up. But he is afraid to. Might give it a try today though. 

And to put icing on cake, I now have a low tire pressure warning. Took it to tire shop and they fixed a leaking valve. Guess that wasn't it or fix didn't hold. Going back today and have all four tires checked.

So that is part of why I haven't updated for a while.
