First full day -a few ups and downs

Well we had a busy day yesterday. Neither of us had a really good night, but wanted to get out and about. ( Last night I slept like a log and Bill had a better night too.) back to yesterday - it is hard for me to make capital letters as my little fingers are bent and don't like to reach that key. So with that out of the way. We got up, got dressed hopped into an Uber and went to TA DA  Torres Mazatlan for breakfast. Met our friend Mark there he is staying in condos right next door. It is like going home to go there. All the waiters have become friends over the years and give us hugs and big Welcome Homes. I had waffles and Bill had an omelet. Here he is taking a picture.

The day was great, not as humid as the day before. Bright blue skies and peaceful ocean. Lots of pelicans flying by. Talked about this and that with Mark. Then ordered an Uber to go to Walmart. Part of the down part of the day.
Walking through the parking lot looking on my phone to see where the Uber was - the biggest sin in Mexico is not watching where your feet are going. The sole of my sandal caught the edge of a speed bump and DOWN I went. Scared the crap out of Bill and Mark. Landed on my hand and knee. But I managed to hang on to my Phone. Luckily it wasn't too bad. One knee all scraped up - road rash style. And some how both hands managed to get a little bit skinned on the inner side of the palms. Each have about a quarter inch circle without skin.. I sat there for a few minutes wondering what happened. Got up and checked out damage. As Mark said I'm a tough old broad, no serious injuries. We debated returning to hotel, but ended up going to Walmart. After all I needed some bandages for my knee. We like a lot of things our one and a half start hotel doesn't provide. Yes we are staying in the same place as two years ago. It works for us. Also we wanted some food like bread, coffee and butter etc. Spent about an hour walking slowly there. Then I think the fall registered with me. Suddenly I was wore out and wanted to go home. We got everything we wanted except what we went for filters for the coffee pot. took a taxi home. This neat statue of a bright red deer is new.
Got home and cleaned my ouchies and bandaged them so they didn't look so horrid, we both took a nap and got up and went to lunch to Panchos It is about a half a block away and has good food. I didn't feel like going anywhere. I had the best honey glazed salmon and Bill had an especially made for him Cesar salad.  He asked the waiter if the cook could cut the lettuce and chicken up small as he can't bite things, without his teeth. When the salad came it was perfect for him. Very enjoyable and good lunch. Took a couple of pictures on the way back to hotel.

Out in front of the restaurant and an amazing store.
As you can see we are recuperating.
Him taking a picture of me. The restaurants patio in the back ground.
One of the  prettiest bushes here in Mazatlan. They are all over the area.
A closer look at the flower.
A new little store right by the hotel. It sells all flavors of marshmallows. The company that makes them has been making the since 1950.  We'll go in there another time. Just to see ...
When we are on the balcony this is our view!
We kept walking a bit. This is the Austin BBQ restaurant right next door. All kinds of music is played there. Usually at night. First night we were here it was old country, loved it. These seem to be old tunes also, a few people dancing. Middle of afternoon. Of course Bill had to talk to them.
Just an older building.
On the wall in a small hotel
This is the street level patio for our hotel.
And that was pretty much yesterday. We stayed in and continued to rest and put things away so we can find them. And went to bed early Bill real early, me about 9. And that brings us to this morning. No real plans yet. My leg, knee is fine. Looks worse then it feels. But my left arm and shoulder is sore today. Guess that is was I caught myself with. So off to explore.

Yes it was not fun watching you fall like you did. Carol your stuntwoman days are in the past. Stop trying to revisit them.
