New Way of Life

Didn't post yesterday just because I was too lazy and got involved with my puzzle - it is coming together pretty good - and also with watching recorded shows of The Closer.
I had put in an on-line order with Walmart. It was to be delivered at 10:00 a.m. About 10 to 10 I got an email that out of my order of 47 items, 3 were unavailable - computer paper, flour, and a flavored cream cheese. One was substituted - foam plates instead of paper.  Not long after reading that email our phone rang the delivery driver was at the gate. Gave him code and directions. A couple of minutes later he pulled up. Bill waiting in the garage , can just see the nose of his car. Notice sanitizer and gloves.

Bill is also wearing one of the masks I made.

 Just part of the delivery. Driver was very polite and did not venture any further into the garage than he had to. He also with our permission signed for the delivery.

 Bill emptying bags and sanitizing each and every item, except some produce. Don't want alcohol flavored grapes! He wouldn't let me near anything until it was sanitized.

 Walmart did charge for delivery and we added a tip for the driver. I ordered some things from the health section, some kitchen items - dish cloths - and a curtain rod - so I can make my curtains for the sewing room. So if you order from Walmart you can order from the whole store, not just groceries. One strange thing - I wanted some I Can't Believe Its Not Butter - it was available BUT only for in store shopping. So will keep trying to get it with out going in a store. Very pleased with service.
Also spent some time making more personal masks. We now each have three.

Did not cook one of our new meals last night - but will tonight. And that's about it for us.
The cactus and roses are blooming like crazy this year.

 Have never seen this many blooms on this type of cactus before.

The hardest thing for me is keeping my hands off my face. 

More new Meals and a fire in The Wetlands

Spent part of the morning sewing. I am so out of practice. Any way managed to get four face masks sewn. Messed up the blue one, got the white one right. Needed to read the directions before I sewed. 

 Made two of these first as they are supposed to be better. But very uncomfortable to wear. Not sure where to put bottom tie. If I put it on my head it slips down, if I put it around my neck I freak out. 

Had bottom tie around my neck here. In about two minutes I can't breath - I am very claustrophobic. Looks like I need to spend some time on my hair. 

 I got frustrated so I took about a half hour/one mile walk. 
Went up by where the RV is stored. When Bill parked it the middle RV wasn't there. Don't know why they didn't make the spaces a foot wider. There is plenty of room at the end. 

 Saw this pretty cactus in bloom.

 One of our bushes in back yard is blooming. 

Found out from the news this morning that there was a fire in the Wetlands Park behind our house. Burned about 10 acres and one of the foot bridges. About 11:30 last night. Never heard a thing. Though before I went to bed the wind was howling.

Filled the hummingbird feeders yesterday. One of the birds was flying around on the patio wondering why they were empty. So full now. 
Got our Hello Fresh meals today. 

Tonight we are going to have "Mushroom Penne with Truffle Cream Sauce" No idea how it will taste. Other two meals are more normal - Bruschetta Chicken and Chicken sausage Spaghetti Bolognese. Everything but the meat is in the bags.

 All the ingredients. Including dressing for the green salad. Only had to add some salt and pepper.

 My dinner plate. I added the salad to the plate. Sorry it is fuzzy in a hurry to eat. If the wonderful taste was from the truffles, I've been missing out all these years. First time I ever had Truffle Zest.

Tomorrow morning at 10:00 we are supposed to get a delivery from Walmart. Will see how that goes. 

Sunset, Sunrise - I know that is backwards.

Did you ever have one of those days when you woke up crabby?
I did today and it isn't wearing off. Bill is hiding from me. Good choice. Did a little sewing today and spent an hour setting up a new tablet for Bill's drone. It started out speaking Spanish, then trying to get it to English it switched to French. Shut it off and walked away from it. Went back to it about an hour later and finally got it to speak English. Then had to load four apps to be able to go to Google Play Store so we (I) could download the drone app. Of course google didn't want to cooperate with signing in. So ended up having to get a new password. Lets just say I can't write it on here, and it was exactly what I wanted to tell the tablet and google. 
On to a calmer note this was last nights sunset. There are really too many houses in the way to get a good picture. But these will do.

Gave the desert an eerie look.

This mornings sunrise. Not really spectacular but pretty nice out over the desert. 

And that was today. Working on my puzzle in bits and pieces. Someday I'll finish it. Got up to over 80 today, first time since November 19th. But won't be the last. And expecting rain again in a few days. 
Got all our winter mail today. Mostly stuff that wasn't too important.
I'm wondering if we are going to have to smog our vehicles this year to renew the licenses. I think all the places that do it are closed. Be nice if we didn't have to. Will find out soon for the RV.
