A mish mash of things to catch up

I am having a problem with my laptop. It no longer will charge the battery. It is at 7% charge and is staying there. I can keep using it with the electricity, but just wanted everyone to know in case I just disappear. The thing that worries me is that it is a lithium battery and they can be dangerous. Am trying to find a place here to see if they can replace the battery or???? So far it doesn't seem to be swelling or getting hot so......

I'm also having a problem keeping the days straight while here. Just not used to being so busy I guess. These next few pictures are from Tuesday - I'm pretty sure. Yes the photos are dated, but sometimes I forget to check the dates. This is one corner of the Plazuela Machado. This is a pizza restaurant. I've never been able to find any information about the building. The upper floor has apartments or rooms for rent.

While waiting for Uber I walked down the street in front of it.  Interesting art work there.

And this is why I don't take selfies. Trying to keep the phone still and showing the wings.
More buildings in that area. Some are bein used others have no roofs and are parking lots.  The green one in front had a restaurant in it several years ago. Looks empty now.

Another day. I think this is one of my favorite plants. See the first white mark. The plant/flower starts out as a closed tube like thing. Then #2 it opens up into a flower. #3 each individual flower then slips down a vine and hangs upside down. Nature is amazing.
Wednesday evening at the Torres Mazatlan. We went for dinner and to listen to Rafael play again. This time inside. We were hoping for a nice sunset.
Inside the dining room.
We both had chicken, him grilled, me roasted with mushroom gravy. I know sounds weird but it is good. I had ordered ice tea but then remembered a drink I'd had there a long time ago. So ordered one. It's called Miami Vice. It is good, but a little bit goes a long way when not used to drinking. I did manage to finish it by the time we were leaving.
The sunset didn't disappoint.
Bill up talking to Raphael. Seems like every other picture is Bill talking to someone.
For a very short time the clouds got really red.  Luckily we were sitting right next to an open window.

Thursday morning bright and early we were at the dentist office. Bill got his new partial/bridge what ever it is called. So he now has teeth where the ones were pulled. He says they work good and don't bother him. Has another appointment on Monday morning to make sure all is well. So far so good - I see RIBS in our future.
In the afternoon we went back to Centro to just walk around and go into the Central Market again. It is getting hot here. It was 83 and VERY humid. In the market was like being in a sauna. Just a picture of a building in the Golden Zone. One of the older ones.
The shop where we bought our Talavera Rooster is still there. I drooled over the Rooster for a couple of years before we finally bought it. It was always on display right on the corner where the blow up toy is. They have never had another one.
One of the new high rises on the Malecon in the Golden Zone. The whole atmosphere of the town is changing.
This building has looked like this for years. Some company started to restore it then suddenly stopped. Too bad it is kind of cute.
High rises on the malecon. One after another. It looks like work has stopped on a lot of them.

Went to the Central Market again. Bill needed a new belt. Lots of choices. Real leather.
Hats for sale across the aisle.
This truck is delivering fresh meat.
Oops, better be looking where  you are going. Several places the brand new tiles have been ripped up for repairs.
Pet food vender.
All kinds of cleaning supplies available here.
Mask decorations up for Carnaval. It is coming up quick.
Another person we've bought things from over the years.
Going to stop here, we need to go to Walmart and get a few things. When we got back to the hotel yesterday we had a different bedspread and drapes. The first ones were blue. The new ones are black and white. Never know what to expect here in Mexico.
