As I said I am starting to get my days mixed up. Especially what we did and where we went. Thank goodness the photos are dated. I already mentioned that one day when we got back to the hotel the whole decor had been changed. Well what there is of it. Bedspread and drapes were blue when we left and black and white when we got back. The new ones.
The sign you can barely see on the wall is about how to correctly wash your hands during Covid...One little sign on the wall says, "Please do not put your hands or feet on the walls." Okay! This is a mystery to me. Why? A couple of the pillows are covered in plastic. Hard to keep the pillow case on it and it makes crinkling sounds in your ear.
Was surprised when I saw the date on this photo. Completely forgot. On Saturday we went to La Antigua Cerritos for breakfast. There sure is a lot of new construction going on in the area north of the Marina. The building on the right was here last time two years ago when we were here. The other two are going up fast.
More new ones. But there is one that was started five years ago that has not had any work done on it in the last four years.I was sitting behind the driver in an Uber and trying to get a picture of Las Jaibas RV park where we stayed for so many years. When we first went there it was completely surrounded by jungle. Now it is completely surrounded by apartments, condos and homes. Not a tree left.
Sometimes progress is sad.
La Antigua. We like to sit outside. We always used to sit on the upstairs balcony, but Bill didn't want to go up the stairs this time. So we sat outside downstairs. So nice out there.
He looks happy. We had a visitor.
Stayed around for a while, Seemed to be catching something to eat. Our waitress was a young girl who wanted to practice her English. So she and Bill had quite a conversation. So much conversation that when she went inside she forgot to turn in our order. Bill finally went inside and we got our coffee. Then when she delivered our crepe - that's right crepe, singular, we had each ordered one. But guess it got lost in the conversation. No problem, we just split it.
I like their attitude. Does any one remember having one of these, then they started to come with a TV in the center. I had a recorder player and used an adding machine like that. Oh boy, dating myself.
The stairs Bill didn't want to go up. A TV cabinet to the right.
Some pictures from our balcony. The security is all over town. Guard National, they always travel in twos.
Now that's a job I have no interest in applying for. Go stand on top of a moving water truck and water the grass. He at least has on a safety harness and a stand built all the way around him. They used to just have a stick to hang on to and the hose. Lots of OSHA up grades now.
Had to look this up Still Saturday. We went back to Torres for dinner and to watch the sunset. It didn't look like it was goin to be too good. Lots and lots of heavy clouds or fog out there. Kind of looks like a space ship hovering over the water.
And this is the way it ended. Spectacular. Every one had their phones out taking pictures. And our meals were great too.
Picture of the pool and restaurant.
And I think I am caught up now. We are sure using Uber a lt. Glad it isn't as expensive here as at home.
