Getting things taken care of and more of Ethel M's

Actually it is Tuesday morning that I'm writing this.  We live - as the crow flies - 10 miles from Nellis Air Force Base. They announced they were going to be doing training there for a couple of days. Well they must have started because we hear the roar of the planes as they take off and land. Can't imagine living closer to it.

Our mail delivery is finally straightened out. We are now getting mail. Took a call to their 800 number, very good customer service by the way. About an hour later I got a call from our post office confirming everything and next day got mail. One more thing checked off the list.

Also called our new doctor's office and got our appointment moved from April to next week. I hate going to new doctor, hopefully he will refer to all our old records - he has them - and not make us take all lab work again. Guess we'll see. Also called our insurance and had them resend our medical cards. They came while we were gone and don't get forwarded to our temporary address.

The weather here has changed, it was in 70's yesterday. Winds are picking up a lot. Sustained around 30 with gusts up to 50. Took the cover off the car and it was tied down. Tomorrow and next day in mid 50's with maybe rain and snow on the mountains.

I also did get out and walk for a while yesterday, did about a mile in one half hour. Ready to go home by then. Got in about 5500 steps. Just need to keep it up.

Some more pictures from the cactus garden at Ethel M's. More flowering desert  plants.

He is so green.
A little bit of everything. Glad to see their ocotillo isn't getting leaves yet, maybe there is still hope for mine.
Inside walking along the viewing windows of the factory. It was Saturday so no one was working.

And the Chocolate Wall in the show room. Lots and lots of candy for sale. Bought nothing.
And that ended our outing for the day.

I would be afraid very afraid to do that Chocolate tour. Because I know I would buy WAY too much chocolate, if that's even possible.
