Flora and Fauna and more pounds lost

Getting closer to GO day and getting busier. But still managed a few more walks in The Wetlands. And had a couple of over 10,000 step days. Walking again I seem to have restarted my weight lose. Down a couple of more pounds!  The weather here is quite warm during the days still mostly mid 90's. But thankfully it really cools down at night. When we go out to walk it is usually in the high 60's - so nice. We just kind of wander around the trails over in the park and one day we were out there for two hours. Didn't realize it until we were both getting tired! Just as we were in sight of my house Bill called me to wonder where we were.

So more pictures from over there. Sorry haven't done any thing else picture worthy. Lots of wild life showing up. Heading south I guess. Haven't heard any frogs, maybe they are only calling out in the Spring.

He closed his wings just as I pushed the button. So pretty.
Saw lots of bunnies and one jack rabbit. Walked up by the river. See the brown stuff just over the falls and under the bridge. That is all trash, dead plants and literally trash, saw a big trash can, a couple of mattresses, all kinds of paper and cloth trash. All the flood channels in Vegas end up here. I wonder how they will be able to clean it all up.
Standing on the bridge looking at The Strip. (Today the mountains got a dusting of snow. Have to check it out in the morning.)
Haven't seen one of these in quite a while.
Mr duck was hiding behind the reeds, just after I took this picture his mate swam up. One of the many ponds in the  park.
Just like the picture. The white tree and blue sky and green reeds.
A not so nice picture. Why do people do this?
First time I've ever been able to get both Koi in a picture. Also a bunch of carp. The Koi were dumped here a few years ago and seem to be thriving.
A better picture of Mr and Mrs duck. They were on a rock in the middle of the river.
I thought this was interesting. Hadn't seen this sign before.
Don't have any projects going except gathering things up to put in RV.
We got all our medications without problem - 180 days worth. And while waiting for them both of us got our new Covid booster. Neither of us had a reaction to it, except for a sore arm for a day. So that is done too.
Filled the RV full of gas today - we have a 40 gallon tank and took 39.6 gallons. Luckily we'd been checking the stations around us and found one only charging $5.05 a gallon. Most are in the $5.89's - worth the couple of blocks drive.

Nice pictures as always. The Koi are so colorful and always hungry! When is “D” Day for the start of your trip. Some days January seems so far away but much to do between and and then. Traveling Mercies for your trip.

Love the Wetlands pictures. Such a lovely change from The Strip.
