Gila Bend

I looked at the weather for the next week or so. Glad yesterday was our last day of travel for a while. Looks like Sunday and/or Monday might be a rainy day. And night temps are getting down into the low 40's. Might be time to put the new electric blanket on the bed. Today there is wind forecast.

Just a picture of the Arizona desert, so pretty at least to me.
We stayed at the Sonora RV park on Butterfield Trail in Gila Bend for one night. It is expensive $50 a night for pull through, full hook ups, and 30 amp. They also have cable TV. Their wifi is pretty good early in the day and later in the evening. Gets really slow at peak use time.
Yesterday morning I took a walk around the whole park. 1 mile. Not much of a walk but some is better than nothing. Not many people here yet, but it fills up for winter.
More desert scenery. Just outside of the park. It is kind of in the middle of no where.
Park is kept very neat and clean and landscape nicely.
Lots of solar panels.
Thought this was interesting.
This is what it looks like. No one here today.
Leaving the park.
Mostly uneventful drive to Amado. Stopped at Pilot in Gila Bend for gasoline 4.46 a gallon AND we did not get our 10cent discount. So going to call them today to ask why. At least the card worked.
We left Gila Bend at ten and got to Amado at one o'clock. Winds were heavier than comfortable. So glad it was a short drive only 156 miles.  Got set up and again every thing is working.

PEThouse ... that's something I haven't seen before. I've never stayed there, but driven by it many times. It's always packed in the winter. Seems it was windy just about everywhere.

The part I liked best about RVing was being parked😁 We miss the RV when we head south as it's so nice to have your home with you. Enjoy!

Nancy - I know first time I've seen special pet spots with a place to fence in your dog. They keep about 30 over night pull throughs. Expensive though.
Kathy - I agree, the parking is the best part. Always glad when we get to Mazatlan and then again when we get home.

$50.00!!! Interesting pet house idea. We might consider it sometime.
