We got good news today. The last culture that came back for Bill showed no bacteria. So he is free of antibiotics but doctor suggested he see our family doctor when we get home just to make sure everything stays good.
For the last couple of days Bill has been checking the weather north of the border. He isn't liking what he is seeing. It is going to be cold, wet and miserable at home for a while. So not sure just what we will do.
And today the wall continues going up on the north side of us. Once it is complete it will cut some of the noise and dirt. Behind us I think they have brought in the last of the dirt and hopefully by tomorrow afternoon all the compacting will be done. Then it might actually be nice here again.
A blog or two ago I posted a picture of the bikes that are for rent along the Malecon. Finally found some information about them. "The program starts with 11
biciports along the Malecon, but will integrate the historic center and the linear park. This alternative will be very useful for short trips at a rate of 5 pesos per simple trip and at a much lower cost if you acquire a monthly, semi-annual or annual membership, which means great savings for your pocket, the president added."
Another bit of obscure information. Found this on line - WOW
"In the Magic town of Teotihuacan a Guinness world Record for the largest floral carpet in the world was made. It is 17,805.19 square meters big. It was made with nine varieties and colors of poinsettias, one of the most beautiful and distinctive flowers of Mexico, among which the ‘prestige’ brown and red, and the ‘luv pink’ stand out , as well as the ‘davinche’, ‘marble star’ and ‘cherry frost, among others."
Wouldn't you love to see this?
I am getting my NASCAR fix the last couple of days. I don't like the Daytona race but it is better than nothing.
Tonight we are joining our friends from Canada - Mark, John and Jackie and going out to dinner to celebrate with Bill. We have missed seeing every one and doing fun things together.
To better days!
