January 2019 Good bye George.
Tuesday was a strange morning. Lots and lots of overcast so no sunrise. And the construction workers were back - but only some of them. By 9:00 there was only one grader and one compactor working. Where were the dump trucks and the rest of the graders?
These pictures are from Monday when only the house builders were working. Enjoyed the quiet and clean air. Part of the block wall being built.
Newer houses on both side of the original six are going up quickly. Almost ready to start the second story.
By noon everyone and every truck etc. was back and working full strength. Oh well..
A little bit of hanky panky going on in a palm tree. Lots of posturing.
Maybe they don't want an audience.
Had an extra ordinary sunset last night. Very different. This is looking south towards the city not west towards the setting sun.
The wisps of cloud were really long!
Now this is looking west towards where the sun is actually going down. Completely different.
And this one is looking north east - go figure. I really like this bit of cloud color.
Without the tree in the way. It took up a really big portion of the sky.

Looking west - I'm including this one because of the building. It is many stories high, it contains condos for sale. The building has been completed for at least 7 or 8 years. As of right now there are six - 6 - that's right SIX of the condos sold and being lived in. How spooky would that be living there?
Years ago once when George was here in Mazatlan we all went to look at them. UGLY. All gray/white marble/granite inside. Floors, counters etc. No color at all. Like being in a mausoleum. You expect names and dates above the doors. Because no one bought them none of the extra goodies were ever finished. You know the restaurant, the gym, the landscaping etc. Feel sorry for the people who bought the six.
Boy the wind is howling outside and the temperatures have really dropped from this morning. I saw on the news from Vegas this morning that the I-15 at the Nevada California state lines was closed due to ICE. Haven't heard of that before. Glad we are here.
