War continues!

Started this a couple of days ago, will finish now.

The electronics war is continuing. Or maybe it is just me.

My new Nook is up and working fine. Still can't figure out how I got a zillion photographs on my phone some from as far back as 2006! So still debating going to Verizon to figure things out. The phone is only a couple of months old.  Never went to Verizon. Will probably regret that.

Also I did get a new laptop. An HP and it has a disk drive. They are hard to find. I thought it had a touch screen but guess it doesn't. Bought it at a Best Buy in Henderson. After I paid for it the salesman said they didn't have it in stock and would order it, be there next week. NOT. So he looked at different stores and found one CLEAR ACROSS TOWN in another store. We seem to be doing a lot of clear across town things lately. But it was a beautiful day weather wise so off we went. Beside we had nothing else to do. when we brought the RV home this morning to start loading it we discover the 12 volt system wasn't working again. Couldn't turn on lights or put out slides. So back to the RV doc.  So across town we go. Get to customer pick up and am told it isn't ready to be picked up, I should go home and wait for an email saying it was ready to be picked up. WHAT??? After some heated discussion she decided I could just get it from the computer department not from the on line shopping warehouse. BUT...she had to be able to find someone in computer department that could bring it to her. I couldn't just go get it. A few minutes later one of the clerks did bring it over. Had to cancel transaction and do new transaction. But at least I had my new laptop in hand.

While CLEAR ACROSS TOWN we also stopped to visit our son and some friends. Then home. So I've been working on new Windows 10 laptop all the rest of the day. Another learning curve. I managed to download a couple of programs, but now can't find them. I know they are there 'cause every once in a while I manage to find them, but don't know how I did it. Had to find a new video editing program as can no longer use Movie Maker. So that will be fun.

Still fighting with the laptop. I "think" I have it mostly set up, but we'll see. Taking the old laptop too just in case. It seems to be working fine now. Go figure.

Spent all day yesterday loading RV and fighting with doctor and insurance trying to get last prescription filled. Finally managed it at 6:00 last night. By last night I felt every one of my 82 years plus a few more. Was in bed by 9:15!! So of course up at 4 a.m.  Finishing up last of loading and will be on road.

Will try to post again tonight from where ever we end up.

Marla - every year I say I'm too old for all the loading and getting ready to leave crap. This year I mean it. With all the electronics going bad and dealing with medical insurance prescription people I need a BIG drink. Busy couple of days. Now relax until we get home and have to do all the same stuff again.
Dirk - always nice to know you are still with us. Hopefully in a few days I'll have some pictures and fun stuff to write about.
Jackie - using new laptop starting to be able to find stuff. how did you get movie maker with windows 10??? We were going stir crazy at home, another few months and we wouldn't have made it to 56 years...
Mark - see you soon.
Sandy - using all precautions, and will take lots of pictures as usual. Thanks.
