Mazatlan

We are in Mazatlan. Left Los Mochis at 6:30 with the sun blazing right in our eyes. Don’t know how Bill could see to drive. Got to Mazatlan at 11:15. Four hours forty five minutes. Did 240 miles. The tolls on this stretch were ridiculous – 1480 Pesos. In US dollars 75!!! I prefer to say nothing about the road. Well I’ll say a little. In some places it was good, in others it was like being in a never ending earthquake.  Didn’t take any pictures, not making any more comments. We are here until beginning of March.

Got parked and set up. Most of our bougainvillea survived the summer. Only one plant looks kind of dead, the others are blooming. Went across street to Torres for lunch then back for a nap.

Found out we don’t have any Internet. TelCel has cancelled our account, it is fully paid until end of this month, but because it wasn’t being used they cancelled it. Go figure. Can’t do anything about it until Tuesday. So this might be the only blog I’ll be posting until we have Internet. We darn well better get that money credited to the reopened account or refunded.

In the mean time if I go up to the office I can

s l o w l  y  post. Hum office Internet isn't as slow as it used to be. Might post tomorrow. We did a few interesting things today.

It is very warm here, well maybe not so warm as HUMID. I am sitting here typing with AC running full blast and my hair is soaking wet. If I go outside for five minutes my clothes are wet.

Oh nuts, when we got back from lunch some one had parked RIGHT NEXT TO us  20 open spaces back here. Why?

Going to be 81 to 84 degrees next couple of days with 51% humidity.

Glad that you arrived safely. Based on what. you said the roads are as bad as last year or perhaps worse. Take a few days to just acclimate.

Great to read you are safely in Mazatlan and parked in “your spot”. Wonderful and now the adventures can begin.

Contessa - parts of them might be a little better, but the bad parts have more holes in them. Take it easy. They are expensive too.

Also glad we are here.
Sandy - Just enjoying being here now. Not doing too much yet.
