Welcome 2022

Well the year got off to a strange start here in Mazatlan. It has been raining most of the night, at least during the times the rain on the roof woke me up.

Got up about 6:30  A while after that I happened to look out the window and see the sun trying to break through. Grabbed the camera and hurried outside. Managed to catch the red sky and the birds flying by.

On the way back inside I turned the lawn chairs over to drain off the water and stopped to look at the poinsettia with all the droplets on its leaves. Like little diamonds. As I took this picture the rain started up again.
Now as I write this it is pouring again and the sky is dark gray. Guess I got lucky and caught a magic moment for the beginning of this year.
Just looked at the weather forecast, by 11 o'clock it is supposed to be sunny out. 8:30 and the sun is trying to come out. Luckily no wind with the rain and it stayed warmer during the night.

Today also is our 57th anniversary. So we were thinking about going out for lunch or dinner. Not sure what is open though.

Thank you every one. We went out to an early dinner but other wise just spent the day at home.
Mark- good thing you corrected that - we aren't that OLD.
