Good Morning from Mazatlan - how pretty is this?
Last night we decided to take a trip to Centro. Specifically the Plazuela Machado. Bill took his drone, the Mavic Pro 2 Zoom.
On the way there we passed a small celebration of someone's 10th birthday. The center dividers around the RV park are really pretty and used for a lot of Photo sights.
On the way over the sun was just beginning to set.A vendor carrying fresh fruit cups on his head.
Coming out on to the street from the parking garage.
More people then we expected in the Plazuela. But it is still holiday time here. Today is The Kings Day and tomorrow people will have to go back to work and children back to home schooling. The cotton candy vendor. I tried it a couple of years ago and either my memory from childhood was wrong or this tastes a lot different. Didn't like it. Some of the Christmas decorations in the Plazuela.
These are white during the day, blue lights on them at night.
What we could see of the sunset from there. Looked like it was pretty spectacular.
Getting darker and the lights are coming on.
One of the building all lit up. Just a few tables set up outside under the arcade.
One of the decorations. A pretty girl in the picture too.Must be her 15th birthday.
Tables set up outside, all the restaurants in the Plazuela have outside tables. Very few of them have indoor dining.
Just some more lights. While I was taking these Bill was flying his drone. Videos to follow in next blog. Still working on getting them ready to post. We ate dinner at Pedro and Lolas - outside and we were the only people eating there. Bill said he had the best chicken breast sandwich he has ever had. I had their delicious salmon. Ate it all and I wasn't even hungry! The music school right across the street.
Looking the other direction. Not many people eating as it was still early.
More people were starting to show up so we left to go home.
Here is one of the drone videos. Mostly of the Plazuela Machado. There is sound - just music. Hope you enjoy. Click here to view full screen.
Another video from 375 feet above Plazuela will come tomorrow.

Goodness, what great photos! It was so nice to see the decorations at the Plaza and seeing the little children dancing in the Gazebo in the video and the music was perfect, too. Thank you for all the time and effort you take to bring us all the “news” of Mazatlan.
Thanks for the trip downtown at night. I really miss it this year. Hopefully things will settle down by next fall.
We agree with Kathy - we surely do miss Mazatlan this year too! Thanks for the pictures and the drone footage. Super cool!
Sandy - we almost waited too long to get the pictures of the decorations. Glad it was nice and not too cold that night.
Kathy - my pleasure. See you guys are enjoying the beach.
Nancy - Hopefully we manage to get more good drone footage soon.
