Beutiful start to a day

Got up early enough this morning to watch the sunrise over the desert.

And it turned out to be a beautiful day. Took a walk, about 1 1/2 miles. Will try to improve on that as time goes by.
Finished this. An unusual Kincaid painting puzzle. Brighter then most of his work.
All our plants made it through the winter. The Lantanas are starting to bloom. And this one has a tiny palm tree in the middle of it.
One of the other Lantanas, only one bloom on it.
Within the next couple of days the jasime will be in full bloom and smelling wonderful.
Looking out over the desert where the sun rises. Lake Mead is just behind that mountain.
All three bougainvilleas out front are starting to get their colors.
Took a nap today - I really need to start another project of some kind. Going to make orange chicken and noodles for dinner. Might get some rain tonight or tomorrow. Then it will be getting hot later in the week.
I know boring, but what can I say?

Carol,
I stumbled on your blog while Googling for something else. Your life looks so pleasant and quiet. As a mom working 11 hours a day in a noisy, new construction suburb (from home thankfully) who's trying to get a 9 year old to get done with school work and on and on, your sunrise and flower pictures are so appreciated. Stay safe.

To working mom - We have five sons when we were young so I empathize with you. Usually my blog is a little more interesting. We spent the winter in Mexico and last summer traveling the states. It is hard for us even though we are in our early 80's to stay home. Eventually this will be over until then hang in there. I will try to add a bit of peace to your life.
