More construction and a fun sunset

Continuing where I left off yesterday. But first our up coming weather forecast. It was windy yesterday so we had a chill factor later in the evening. We watched a soccer game from Monterrey Mexico last night and the poor players - it was freezing and raining sleet. By the end of the game more players were sliding on the icy field and falling down then standing up. The field was white with ice.
Construction continues on the Malecon, more and more is done every time we go past. Keeping lots of people working. Did I mention the minimum wage was just raised here it is now 88.8 pesos PER DAY - remember it takes almost 19 pesos to equal a US dollar. Less than US five dollars a day.
I've been wondering what they were using these Styrofoam blocks for. There are stacks of them all along the construction area. Well I found out.
These geometric shapes are filled with the blocks. The cement frame is made the squares are put in the frame then cement is poured around the squares and the shape is finished.
We stopped in the Golden Zone to look for Talavara Kleenex box covers. These are bathroom sinks.
I have loved this rooster for years. When Bill was in the hospital this place was right across the street and that when I first saw the roosters. It is expensive and too big to transport home. But maybe someday...
Continuing on home. There are two buildings in this picture under construction, This is on the north side of the marina not to far from the RV park. I just wonder who is going to buy or rent all of the new condos.
Around 5 o'clock I looked out and thought it might be a pretty sunset so we hopped in the Jeep and went to the beach. It has possibilities.
And Bill brought his drone. [two new RVs came into the park today and they both have drones too.]
Looking south toward the city.
I liked the way the rays were going up in front of the clouds. Looks like someone drew there fingers though the sky.
Got very colorful towards the end.
While were were there this beautiful young lady came to have some pictures taken. Her dress was one of the prettiest I've seen.
A look at the lace top part.
And the interesting design of the back.
One pose.
Also this fisherman came by. He was fishing for bait with his net. He'd just taken it out of the water here. And he caught some tiny fish.
Getting ready to throw it back in the water.
There it goes.
The end of another interesting day in Mazatlan.
Yesterday we went to El Quelite for breakfast with friends from the RV park.
It has been suggested to me that I post too many pictures and should cut down on them. Just wondering how readers feel about that.

How could it be possible to post too many pictures on a travel blog???? Silliest thing I have heard. Keep on posting them. When I am sitting at my desk at work on my lunch and get to see the pictures, I feel like I am there with you guys, instead of at work. Isn't that the point???

Keep it up exactly as you are doing. We L-O-V-E it!!!

I love the pictures. I personally would like more food pictures. But that’s just me. Bill is always great fun! Rick

I'll try to remember about the food, I even have a setting on my camera for food pictures. Cooked or market?

I see so many things that would be hard to share with just words, thus the pictures.

Will remember to keep my batteries charged in the future. How is remodeling on your trailer going?

Thank you, I usually enjoy doing them. Unless Ive taken 150 pictures in a day and have to choose which ones to use. That's hard.

Carol and Bill said...

Thank you I will.

I think her dress was one of the prettiest Ive seen. Hope she didn't get too much sand on the bottom of it.

No such thing as too many pictures! I travel vicariously thru your blog since I have never been to Mexico. The photos make it more real and show how colorful and beautiful Mexico is!

Thank you - that is exactly what I am trying to do
