Magical Plazuela Machado at Night

The rest of Monday's evening. We went to the Plazuela Machado to see the statues lit up. WOW  If I was enchanted before I was blown away this time. Magical.

We got there a little early, it was still light out so had to waste some time. Coming out of the parking lot. Most of the restaurants are closed Monday nights. Not many people around.

We could hear singing so checked around and there was our old friend playing for a couple in one of the open restaurants. He and Bill have a running gag. Bill always pays him to not sing for us. With good reason. Really nice guy. Glad to see he is doing fine.
An artist sitting on the sidewalk working on his picture.
A new addition to the decorations since we were here last. That is our friend Mark on the throne. Prince of a guy.
One of the statues for the throne.
Oh goody! I have missed seeing all the young girls and brides in their party and wedding finery this year. It was a bad year to turn 15th not a lot of parties going on. It was just her and the photographer and her mother. No attendants.
We were here before dark and we were hungry so had dinner in the Italian restaurant. No one else there.
Some of the lighting starting to show up.
We had finished eating so I left to walk around while Bill and Mark sat and talked. It was getting pretty cool so didn't want to take too long.
Not going to write much - just enjoy.

If you look closely right in front of the horses feet you can see Bill and Mark sitting in the restaurant.

My favorite.

The lighting on him was neat.

The gazebo decorated.

Still talking.
One of the old building all lit up Even the pulmonia had colored lights on it.
The restaurant where we ate. Actually it is three different restaurants. One up stairs and two sharing the downstairs.

Maybe he is saying have a good evening and come back soon.  A virtual hug.
A very wonderful time there. Cool enough we were glad to get back in the car. And then Bill took us for a ride around beautiful nighttime Centro Historico Mazatlan. Another blog. We got home a little after 8 o'clock. The latest we have been out this year.

Sandy - I was sure glad we went back. It was so pretty, photos don't do it justice.
Kathy - I'm glad they did something, but don't miss all the people who always showed up.
