Cerritos

Almost forgot to post this!

Saturday was another gloomy day. But rather a nice day. Not too hot and a nice breeze. But not a good day for pictures but I took a lot of them any way. We went across the street for breakfast and then went up to Cerritos to see what was going on there. Had to take a picture of these beautiful morning glories. Such a pretty color. Behind them the brush has been cleared out and there is a big parking lot there.

Don't know why these two fish were just laying here on the scale. I would think they are past their "use by" time. And surprised none of the many cats around hadn't grabbed them.
Quite a few changes out here since we left in February. One of them being this big new restaurant built out on the sand. Some people are wondering if they had all their permits to build it on the sand so close to ocean.
Their outdoor eating area.
Looking the other way. More tables further down.
Fresh oysters for sale - but none there and no one to sell them.
Oh! There he is, looking for them. Guess they will be really fresh. He put them in the inner tube that has a mesh net on it when he finds them.
He has several nets.
He already had two nets full.
A cross country tour bus had just stopped and unloaded. The vendors getting ready to meet the tourists.
Here they come. Some to swim, some to eat and others just to relax.
The oyster diver is now at the restaurant. They bough both nets full.
One of the vendors, nope the cat is not for sale.
Last year last time we were here these steps were all broken up and had to go up and down. Lot of work went into them. They are covered with sand from all the beach traffic.
Judging by the motor this boat is a working fisherman's boat. It is interesting to watch them come in. It takes several men to lift the boat to get the wheels under it so it can be pulled up to the wall. The boat next to it must still be out fishing. The wheels are waiting.
Venders getting set up. See the bench, they have all been painted since we were here in Feb.
Looking way across the little bay to Nuevo Mazatlan.
The black cat found a piece of fish to eat, the white tried to get it away. Didn't work.
This little round area has been cleaned up and planted too.
Waiting for customers. All kinds of tings for sale.
Colorful dresses. Many years ago they were all hand embroidered, now day all done by machine. I have one like the red one and mine is so old it is hand embroidered.
Mark, your favorite truck is waiting for you.
The fresh fruit stand.
Just a look back at one of the restaurants that has been there for years. The small white table has oysters on it.
Lots of tourist buses. There were five more parked along the street. We were surprised to see how many homes have been built in the area behind them. Were only a couple in the spring.
Back at the RV park. These birds have been flying around the area where we are parked. They all take off at once and fly to a bush, then somethings sets them off again. And away they go to a different tree or the ground. Always the whole bunch of them. Funny to watch.

Stayed gloomy and not too hot all day.

Hey looks like the truck owner has given the truck a nice coat of wax on it. Looks much better now, LOL. Might have to give him an offer to buy it when I come there.

So many great photos in the last two posts. I especially enjoyed this post; the photos of Cerritos tells of what can go on during part of a day for a vendor. Really enjoyed seeing these photos and so many changes there. Thanks for sharing your pictures.
