New Years Day

To warm up this morning Bill decided to make crepes.
The batter is ready.
One down, lots more to go. Putting the batter in the frying pan.
Rolling the batter around to cover the bottom of the pan. Nice and thin.
Flipping it over. Up UP and hopefully not Away
It was moving too fast to get a clear picture, but there it is -  a UFO? - no a flying crepe
Safely back in the pan.
Lots of crepes for our pleasure.
With caramel sauce or jelly?
With caramel sauce [dulce de leche] of course.
I was sitting outside watching the birds eat with my crepe and coffee. Sun was out, sky was blue, birds were pretty. Can't ask for much more.

And then much to our surprise the Rose Parade was on TV. So we watched it. For the first time it was being broadcast to all the Latin American countries.

The entire day was nice. With another great sunset and red full moon.

While I was taking these [and many more] pictures Bill had the drone up and was filming and taking pictures for 300 feet. Will post some of them tomorrow.
All in all a good 53rd anniversary for us.

Fifty-three years... wow! I think I would have made it the title of today’s blog... instead of the parting remark! Congratulations to you two!
